Connecting to Your Tor Server via SFTP
Customers can upload their data via the built-in cPanel file manager however this may not be suitable for many.
Customers can also use SFTP to use a FTP program such as Filezilla to upload their data to the public_html directory.
Our cPanel Tor Hosting DOES NOT support password based authentication so you will need to use SSH key based authentication to use SFTP.
If you have your own SSH key you can use that or allow cPanel to generate one for you.
So use SFTP you need to browse to cPanel and access the SSH Terminal option as below.
Once there you will see the following:-
As you can see by the image below we do not have any SSH Keys setup so from here you can generate one to use with SFTP or you can upload your own.
Once you generate your key or import your own you will need to authorise your key which it will prompt you do to.
You will then be able to use SSH key based authentication to use SFTP to upload your data.
We do not use the standard SSH port so you will need to check your welcome email for the correct port to use. The IP address will also be displayed in your welcome email.
