Temporary VPS Password

When you sign up for a Virtual Private Server you will receive an email with your temporary login credentials. You need to use these to login to your VPS. When you first login you will be prompted to enter the temp password again followed by a prompt to change and create your own password. Please not that this second prompt is only if you are logging in via SSH. Our Pentesting VPS customers using NoMachine will not need to enter the password twice....the NoMachine client will ask you to create your own password straight after entering your temp password.

Customers need to be aware that OneHost has no way of recovering passwords as we do not create backdoors or SSH keys to recover your passwords so if you forget your password the only recourse is to rebuild your VPS.
